Tuesday our skies darkened with the approach of rain clouds and predictions of four days of rain. The sun appeared large and dramatic through the clouds. So far the rain has been gentle, but steady. These shots were taken shortly after 6:00 PM.
You captured each moment perfectly. I love them all. A storm is moving in on us for the weekend. Well, it actually arrived this morning. Unfortunately for me there are outdoor activities planned in our town for the weekend. I have to cover them for the newspaper. There will be shelters and tents but the wind and the rain does not make my cameras happy. Nor my bones.
Lovely sky views ;--) The colors in the first two are in striking contrast to the threatening skies in the others. We finally got rain for the first time in more than 6 months ... refreshingly delightful! Hugs and blessings,

Neat series of photos! We got a full day of (much needed) rain yesterday. the forecast called for more, but I'm looking out on a bright sunshiny day!
Lovely movement in towards the homestead here, Lew. I particularly like the second image with its globe of centred light.
Good series ...
Terrific, colorful shots, Lew! Guess it's official, fall is here! While I'm not wild about the cold weather, skies like these make it all worthwhile!
Have a great weekend!

Gorgeous shots!!! The first two are very intriguing, the light fighting the impending clouds is fantastic. Happy SkyWatch =)

Sounds like the kind of rain that thirsty trees would love. Beautiful sky, in an elemental kind of way.
That's quite a farewell from the sun!
