Header Challenge - Turning the bend

This was my mis-timed header last week, showing the change from winter to spring. On January 23, this is what I saw out the front door:

By February 18, most of the snow was gone and the skies were blue

And February 24, flowers were starting their spring birth and the squirrel was able to dig for acorns again.

Some clouds, some snow, some fog and clearing
have been our skies recently.

Header Challenge - Birds

We have a good number of birds visiting our feeders this winter, mostly going after the finch food. Even the doves were eating what the smaller birds spilled. My header caught a robin and a cardinal sharing a sip of water

Header Challenge - Winter snow

Snow or winter was my choice and Old Man Winter brought us plenty. This was the biggest snow storm of the past few years and the cold stayed around to keep it white.

 Foot prints in the snow

 Afternoon shadows

 Snow and clouds ahead

I tried to give it away

After the snow storm

Our skies changed after the snow storm to end January and begin February.

Header Challenge - In the Kitchen

Marianne's approach to cooking is prepare ahead of time! (And her stuff is better tasting than the store store  bought.) So we have lots of meals in the freezer, ready to thaw and reheat. Above roasted beets cut up and ready to freeze. Below the jars cooling (September 2015)

Banana muffins - a must have when the grandsons are coming. (October 2015)

Apples to make apple sauce. (October 2015)

I peal and core with this gadget,

 Marianne slices and spices.

Cooked apples ready to crush into sauce. My header shows the pair of crock pots we had going.

Christmas cookies and pumpkin bars (December, 2015)

Taco and baked potato soups on the stove (January, 2016)
and the potato soup in the freezer.

Thanks love, for all the good stuff you make!
