This style of bay windows seems to have originated in the Victorian area and has been carried forward in less ornate houses than we usually associate with the Victorian era. I took these from the gas station where I recently filled the tank without moving to get unobstructed views. I do not know the age of these houses. There are quite a few houses in Frederick with this style window and I expect you will see more of them in the future.

I love the brick surrounding the windows in the first structure. Isn't it fascinating to see the similarities and differences each week in Mary's window views. Thanks for visiting mine at Happily Retired Gal earlier.
Hugs and blessings,
The brick building looks to be late 19th century, possibly early 20th. The open corner brick-work on the bay part was common of that era. Too the old roof could use a bit of work. A restoration is progress, perhaps? The windows are definitely newer but I do like the bay style. Nice shots, Lew :)
Period windows seem so much more interesting than modern - in my view. Thanks for sharing.

period windows are interesting, but I must say I enjoy the expansive view from my mother's modern bay window, so much glass with out walls and casing to block the view. Hope you can stop by to see my sepia scene and window views Thanks!
Great window views, Lew! If we all tried to get completely unobstructed views, we wouldn't have any lovely shots like yours! :)
Great shots, I love bay windows! Don't you just love how aware you become of your surroundings because of these photo memes?? It seems I see way more cool things these days!!
