Header Challenge - Fill flash

Back in August, I saw these water droplets on the lily pads and wanted to make them sparkle. So I turned on the flash. My header is the result. Below is an image that shows the available light on that overcast afternoon.

Here is the center of the header cropped to show the sparkle. (Note on this post no image enhancements were made.)

Here is a real practical use for fill flash,
when  the main subject is in the shadows.

And finally flash used on an late afternoon shot.

Lew: Nice take on the theme, our porch displays are similar.

The lily pads are a great example of before and after fill-flash shots. The scene could look just fine without the flash, but when you used it, the drops really stand out! Well done!

Hey, Lew, these are great. I think the lilypads with the water were a great candidate for flash. Thanks for illustrating the difference w/o the flash.

The drops on the lily pads simply sparkle with your flash. Great job!
And...I love the scarecrow. He's a happy fella...and happy to be a model for your flash shots.
Love being here!
