Header Challenge - Who done it?

Who done penned our National Anthem?

Francis Scott Key, a native of Frederick County, Maryland and a lawyer wrote the poem during the bombardment of Baltimore during the War of 1812. He was on a mission to secure the release of prisoners being held by the British and was himself held by the British until after the battle. His grave is in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the City of Frederick.

Below are two more "solved" who done it mysteries

Who done crashed into our lamp post?
The wicked witch of the west when frightened
by the ghost hiding in our rhododendron.

Who done make the dust cloud over the field?
The farmer with his soybean harvester.

I have never purchased one of those crashing witches, but it is my absolute favorite Halloween decoration of all time! Thanks for a good laugh this morning, Lew!

A historical note on the Who Done It? and a local boy to boot. Great take on the theme.

I can just smell that dust...and I would love to do that. I am a farm gurl, and that photo speaks to me.
Pooooor li'l witch. She needed air brakes.
Delightful shot of her (and kudos to your yard decorator for Halloween.)
Hugs,
Jackie

Love the history behind our national anthem. Many people (younger gen) don't know it, unfortunately. That crashing witch is great!
