Sky Watch - Silhouettes at dusk

Here are a few images taken shortly after sunset last Monday. The hill in the distance is Catoctin Mountain. I just like the shapes of the trees against the evening sky. Have you ever wondered what dusk looks like from above? Here is a twilight shot taken from the International Space Station in 2005.

I agree, those wonderful old trees are great to see silhouetted against the fading sky. Nice photos.

I love the tree silhouettes! Soon they will be in full leaf!

Ah, me three! I love the silhouetted trees, too! And what a lovely, pale sky! Marvelous captures as always, Lew! Hope you have a great weekend!

Great colours and I like the bare bones of the trees.

Hi Lew... these trees are stunning... I keep meaning to do a series of picture through the months... taking all the pictures from the same spot to see how the trees take shape and change with the seasons.... maybe this year is the time for me to do it....
