This shot was taken about 4 hours after the vernal equinox (1732 UTC March 20). The shadows are pointing directly east. The crocus were photographed last Tuesday and the daffodils on Saturday. The lilac buds and sedum were taken on Monday. We had a few warm days in the 70's, but now it is cool and cloudy.
Your celebration of the arrival of spring is marvelous. The light is wonderful in these images.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You're absolutely right about the light and the low sun angles. I made it a point to get to Ceres in the morning early enough to capture the long shadows and that special light.

I love seeing these flowers and other signs of spring, since there's no sign of it in my world yet.

Beautiful winter-spring flowers! Spring brings a spring to my step.
When sprint arrives where you are, it actually LOOKS like spring. :)
We think that spring has finally arrived - i.e the snow has gone. You beat us by far.
