My World Tuesday - Fountain by the creek

Along Carroll Creek in the center of Frederick, there are a number of places to buy a beverage of your choice. But there is one place to get free water. The Diehl Memorial Fountain commerates a 1911 fountain which honored Marie Diehl, the founder of the Frederick SPCA. This one also serves people and their pets, though not horses.

I liked the idea of giving water to creatures of all sizes. That is often the problem in many palces that small kids or dogs can´t drink.

Beautifully photographed.

Marvelous shots, Lew! I love fountains and I also like the idea of there being one for all -- two and four-legged!

Have a great week!

This is SO pretty! A fountain that pretty where I live would not be in working order, I am sure.

I write a blog about memorial drinking fountains and would like permission to use the photos of the Diehl drinking fountain. I will, of course, credit and link back to your site. You can view my blog at http://memorialdrinkingfountains.wordpress.com
