The entertainment hit this year for our grandsons has been Greenbrier Lake. These two are more likely to be found playing video games than engaging in outdoor activities, though last year they brought their bikes and did some riding in nearby parks. Yesterday was our third visit but we got rained out after a short swim. The park rangers cleared the lake after thunder was heard. While we waited for the all clear, the sprinkles turned into a downpour. We gave up on cooking hotdogs and hamburgers and came home.

The lake looks wonderful! I'm not much of a swimmer but even I would be tempted to go for a dip there -- and definitely also would like to walk by its shores. :)

Bummer that you got rained out, but it looks like you all had fun for a while, anyway.
