Header Challenge - Finished flower bed

Marianne has long wanted more flowers in the yard and after a visit to her brother's in 2013, she decided "we are doing it when we get home. The spot selected near the back fence is in view from her desk. Above the bed is dug and the supervisor's chair in place.

Fence rails in place and larger plants ready to plant

The is the left corner

 A wider view

The finished bed this spring.
Most of the flowers are annuals. We add a few smaller plants and new hanging plants. As in all things agricultural, "finished" is a seasonal thing. Weeding is required and the annuals will be replaced next spring.

Several years ago we put railroad ties along the fence behind the azalea bed to the left the one above. Last year I got the ties to go the rest of the way. Behind the grass got done then and I finished behind the shed this June.
