Header Challenge - Spring is coming

The question is "When?"  Usually, before our yard turns colorful, there are plenty of spots in town with blooms. Carroll Creek has thawed and the ducks are swimming, but I found only a small patch of blooms.

Our crocus braved the cold!

People (including us) are clearing their yards after this winter's ice storm brought down limbs. And the softball teams got in a game.

But on St Patrick's day, the fields were covered with white and our daffodils did not share there cheerful yellow blooms. I hope your Spring started on time; and that our weather will check the calendar and notice what day Thursday is! (PS: it's not hump day!)

Thankfully the flowers that come out early can stand the cold. Your robin is not so lucky as they like to eat worms. I did see one in the buckeye tree yesterday.

I like how your pics show that spring is coming... but not here yet.

We're having a day of rain here; I'm hoping we've seen the last of snow! Hope you see some buds and green stuff soon.

You have caught the edge of spring perfectly. I think it is closer for us than for you, but it is just around the corner.

The crocus are so beautiful....amongst the snow.
How lovely.
When we see robins here, we know that it is still going to be cold. There were still robins in the yard this afternoon, so I am assuming that it is cold in the northern region of the US. It is hot here....air conditioning has been on for a couple of weeks. It is hard to imagine that it will be "cool" again here....but the robins don't lie. I trust that since they are still here, it is still cold "there."
Beautiful photos.
Happy spring!!
