My World - Catoctin Colorfest

On Saturday we visited Catoctin Colorfest in Thurmont. This town of about 6,000 has hosted the festival for 47 years. About 350 craftsmen and artists participated in the two-day festival. Jewelers, painters, wood workers, photographers had all sorts of crafts for sale. Many items were oriented towards fall and Halloween with Christmas also covered. We bought a few Halloween items which now decorate our porch and a couple of small Christmas gifts. Lots of food was available, local restaurants and churches were serving, in addition to vendors who came only for the festival. Marianne also posted some photos of Colorfest.

Just a few of the vendors and crowd

Crafts from far away places

This one was in a yard

Carved gnomes, ghosts and jack-o-lanterns

Just two of the many places to satisfy your hunger

Hi Lew, I'll have one of those MD crab cakes! Looks like you could find almost any craft and gift you'd want for the upcoming holidays.

Fairs are fun. The carved gnomes would suit my garden. Have a nice weekend.
