This old tree near the Frederick airport came down recently, probably felled by age, winds, disease and trimming all the branches on the one side of the tree.

Great shot. There is something very elegant about the way that trees fall down after years of wear.

I am always interested in fallen trees as well. I guess all that trimming was because of it being close to a road or power lines?
Yup i'd say that's ruined!

It's sorry to see a ruined tree, but I guess it's nature's way of recycling. I invite you to come see my ruins in the bush of Coastal BC. -- Margy
