Nature has been very noticeable this year. First nature misplaced the polar vortex, bringing us unusual cold, an ice storm with damage (see header), and above average snow.
February snow and ice
The crocus burst through in late March and cool skies in early April created contrails.
Then the vortex drifted back to the North pole and nature brought us an over abundance of rain, while parching other parts of the United States.
Finally in May nature warmed the air and the dogwoods, lilacs and azaleas burst into bloom.

Great header Lew.. and pictures... nature sure had an hiccup this winter. We had such an amount of rain but very little show this year. Your Crocus would brighten up any day.
Personifying nature makes for an amusing story. It sure was an adventure we had these last few months!
Nature sure threw everything at us this year. We did not have much snow in our mountains--but suddenly in late January it decided to fall and we have a near normal snowpack for the year---very important in our irrigation dependent farmlands.
Even though your header depicts bad weather, it is still a sight of beauty!
Lovely show of a Frozen Nature Lew, super shots.
Lew: You certainly covered nature quite well.
