Our World - Redone

Marianne has been on the lookout for some new pictures for the living room for some time and saw some she liked at IKEA. So we planned a trip to the Baltimore store. If you have never been to IKEA, it is big, has all kinds of things for the house, and winds you through the entire place from entrance to exit. (There are short cuts, but we usually take the long tour.) As we rounded the corner near the start, Marianne spotted sofas and said "I like that". We have been looking for a new sofa for some time, so stopped to check them. We checked prices, too measurements and followed the arrows, picking up some other things and the pictures. Back home we found sofa would fit nicely and I could fit it in the van for the trip home (IKEA stuff comes in boxed with "some assembly required"). So a second trip retrieved the sofa. The old one was donated, new one assembled and pictures hung. And we are enjoying our new seating and color addition to the walls.

The last time I was in Ikea was the one near the DC Beltway off Rt. 1. Daughter needed a mattress for hr apartment in Georgetown. Boy, did she have a hard time deciding. But once she did we went to the open warehouse to pick all the parts up and transport them to the apartment. No delivery costs!

Nice looking sofa you picked out.

I haven't been to Ikea in a long time. My husband used to have day-long meetings in Calgary, so I'd have him drop me off in the morning and pick me up in the late afternoon. I love having lunch there.
I like your new sofa arrangement. It looks both comfortable and companionable.
