My trees are much the same here east of you. Tulip poplar have mostly lost theirs. Its the beech still hanging on and some of those will be on all winter for the young trees. It's all lovely when the sun hits them just as you showed in your photos.
So vibrant and beautiful Lew… we are past prime season for color… but still it is picturesque here too.
Please consider yourself officially invited to participate this year's 5th Annual Gratitude (word) Quilt. Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. If I’ve already invited you, I apologize... I am trying to reach as many people as possible, and sometimes forget whom I’ve already left this message for in a comment. My intention is most certainly NOT to spam you. I hope you'll join us, it is really amazing when all the words unfurl on November 27th, Thanksgiving Day in the United States.
The trees look as if the lig is coming from within. Any lingering leaves blew off our trees in the big wind yesterday and are probably in Michgan by now!
I joined the Header Challenge team in November. We post a new header each week on a suggested theme. Imac is the founder and head of the team. The members vote for best header and the winner gets the gold. The links above will take you to the other participants.
This blog contains my posts for Our World Tuesday and Sky Watch Friday. Click on the logos below to reach the host site for these memes and links to a world full of great photographers. I also share photos, both present and past, on additional subjects. I may occasionally post photos taken by others and will so note ownership in the post.
My other two blogs can be viewed through the links below.

I am retired, married to a smart, talented lady who once thought we computer people were geeks and now is one of us geeks. I have a long time interest in photography. We live in Maryland, about 50 miles from Washington, DC.
My main camera is a Nikon D3100 with two zoom lenses (18-55 and 55-200).

Those are some of the most splendid oranges and yellows I've ever seen...and pairing them with that blue sky! Splendid!!!
We didn't get a lot of autumn colour this year, so I am really enjoying your shots!
