Header Challenge - Memories

A few weeks ago I started tackling the boxes of stuff cluttering our garage. When I found a bunch of floppy disks the idea of a "memories" header struck me. The old floppy disks would hold less than half an image from my current camera and our current computers cannot read the floppies. My life has involved computer memories in some form since 1962. My header is meant to illustrate the progression of computer memories since the advent of personal computers.

I also uncovered more personal memories as I sorted various boxes of files and stuff: canceled checks from my college days, papers from prior work projects; and so forth. Much has been shredded and recycled, some things donated to Goodwill and some will be kept. Here are a few samples of memories I kept.

Playing cards from my Grandfather (he worked many years fixing electric motors).

A ticket from one of our Christmas trips west when my kids lived in Colorado and her kid lived in California.
A gift from Marianne to me when we were members of a bowling league.

Sadly, I have lots of information saved on floppies.

The plane ticket lists some things that are just memories if you fly today: lunch, snack, breakfast. And today you don't even really get a ticket. And don't get me started on luggage.

I do definitely have some memorable flights....

Wonderful Memories Lew, from the computer disks to your bowling statue, times certainly moved and also moves now even faster.

I like the way you worked in the title on the Memorex CD. I saw that your ticket included Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. I hope we treated you well when you passed through.

My first computer had two floppy drives! So amazing how far technology has come. Love the photos of the old stuff!

I love walking back in time.
I get lost there....and forget why I even started the "project" when I run across things like this.
Love this....
