Our World - Humming birds

We put our humming bird feeders out earlier and for while did not see any of them. Then one started to appear once in a while. Then a second one started harassing the one at the feeder. We have seen four at the same time and some times two will share the same feeder. They are amazing fliers and disappear quickly into the trees after a few sips of our home brewed nectar.

We have hummers here to your east. One tends to guard the feeders and scare off the others.

I plan to visit Frederick with friends this week. Is that oil & vinegar place still downtown?

Aren't they fun to watch? Nice job catching them in motion.

I live in South Georgia (15 minutes from the FL line) and my hummers come the first week in March. I have to take the feeders down the first week or two in October so they will begin their migration back to the south. If I leave them out too long, they will tend to stay past the time that they need to be traveling on. They always come back in March...with family.
Love the photos of your hummingbirds and your feeders.
