Tom's choice for the theme this week made my photo job easy. Marianne always wants to plant FLOWERS on Mother's day, and this year she said "plant lots of flowers". We had cool, rainy days that delayed the start, but made our azaleas and rhododendron burst with color. We moved azaleas from the front to the back and put new ones in front. Marianne filled a bunch of pots with flowers for the deck and porch. We replanted the flowers around the mailbox, splitting the daffodils and replanting them and adding more plants for color all spring and summer. The liriope border was replaced with blocks and a few clumps placed in the bed. And we added a few rocks as a final touch. (As an added attraction, I put "flower" headers on my other two blogs - links are on the sidebar).

New bird bath and begonias
New clematis

Wonderful Flowers Lew, you both were very busy on Mothers day, it all looks a picture.
Rhodies are our state flower, but do not do very well in our desert part of the state. You did triple duty on this header.
Very nice Lew, what a lovely header.
Wow, I really, really like that wet Dahlia!
