This was my world back on January 25 when I made a trip to our favorite meat market in nearby Pennsylvania. The road (and a railroad) follows Owens Creek, one of several creeks running down the eastern side of Catoctin Mountain. On that cold day pools in the creek were frozen, while swift water flowed. This is a scenic drive, even in winter.

Despite the very nice creek, I fell for that last photo with the framing and road leading into the distance.
Interesting... I thought exactly the same as RuneE!
Not so different from my world in the Shropshire hills. Nature is beautiful when you have eyes to see and a heart to appreciate.
