My World Tuesday - Red letter shopping

Red (and orange) seem to be predominate colors for stores around here. I went across town to Borders to get a book for Marianne and to Michaels to get some foam board to make a light box. Blinds to Go and Home Depot are in the same area. I picked up a few food items at the Giant near us.

Interesting! We have all those stores except Giant.
The red and orange gets our attention because Orange is a vibrant color made from the combination of red and yellow, so it shares some common attributes with those colors. "It denotes energy, warmth, and the sun, but orange has a bit less intensity or aggression than red, calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow."
I am a former art instructor and I loved to teach the primary and secondary colors to my classes.

Those two first ones look like the other was influenced by the other. Those signs were something I rarely see, thanks!

Interesting way of looking at things. Sineage is often in red, which is great for the photographer.

Red always seems to alert folk, prob thats why red is for stop on the traffic lights.

Lew: I think you cheated some with the Home Depot (orange) but the idea is there.
