After causing damage across the mid-west of the US, three separate storms passed through the MD-DC-VA area Wednesday evening and today. Wednesday's storm gave us heavy rain and some trees down in Frederick County. The second and third storms passed to the south and east of us felling trees and power lines and one death when a tree fell on a child in Virginia. These images were taken as the sun was setting and the clouds were dispersing.

Beautiful skies, but so terrible to hear about the damage done.
Those clouds look like ocean waves.
Spectacular beauty.
They are marvellous.
Beautiful shots. Happy sky watching.
My sky.
Wonderful images, but tragic results. Have a blessed week-end.
Storms are only fun for photographers. Pity about the child.
Great sky captures, Lew! It was a stormy week. So many tornado warnings in Maryland. I hope it calms down for a while. Happy Skywatching!
