We spent Thursday afternoon at the Frederick Fair. This calf was born about 30 minutes before we reached the birthing center. We watched as mom cleaned up her newborn and it worked to get on its legs and find its dinner. (These shots span about 20 minutes). There was also a litter of piglets and two young goats to see.
Lots to eat at the fair. We had some root beer and BBQ from a vendor further down the line.
Plenty of other prize winning farm produce on display. The largest of these pumpkins was about 200 pounds. Lots of farm machinery also, as well as hand made clothes, jams, jellies, pies, etc. The fair also features photographic exhibits, with hundreds of excellent shots.

I love fairs like this one, Lew! Your captures are delightful! Love the little new one!! Thanks for the smiles! Have a great week!
There is nothing as wonderful as nature in action although I'm not so sure I would have liked such a big audience when I gave birth!
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful
Please have a good Tuesday.
