Sky Watch - Hot sun and storms

Last Friday the sun left us very hot. And at night a line of thunderstorms roared through the region leaving trees down and power out across a wide area. Our damage was minor (see below) and our power stayed on. But a million and a half businesses and homes were not so lucky. Some will not have power until this weekend. It is still hot with temps near 100!

It has been rough in the east this past week - glad you didn't have any major damage!

I like that peekaboo sun.

A lot of my friends and coworkers were left without power. Yesterday, the water company had do do some repairs on my street, and we had the water turned off. Now, we're under a boil order for 36 hours. I should probably just fill some pots and kettles and leave them outside... do you think it's hot enough to boil that way? ;-)

I too am glad there wasn't major damage to your property, and send you "cooling off" thoughts until those insane temperatures come down a bit. Wow!

Hi Lew, I am glad you did not have too much damage to your property. We were lucky the storm hit more south of us. I do feel sorry, some folks are still without electric as of today. Hope you have a great weekend, stay cool.
