Our World - Toys for Tots

The local US Marine Corps Reserves, supported by businesses and other groups, have long sponsor a drive to make Christmas  for kids whose families may be struggling financially. Last Saturday, they were at the Wal-Mart near us. Radio station WFRE was broadcasting  and Harley-Davidson of Frederick provided transportation for the collected toys. In addition to operations like this, there are over a hundred drop-off boxes in businesses around Frederick.

A few toys from us to add.

The trailer is filling up

and it is a long trailer!

I hope that a lot of toys were collected.

A worthy cause...and I hope the trailer is overflowing with gifts for children.

I had not thought about it until tonight, but I have not seen any collection spots for the Marines toy drive. I need to look into it. They do such a fine job with the program each year. Nice photography. genie
