Sky Watch - The hawk and the crow

Last Saurday when I went out to shoot some images of the cat stalking the starlings (My World), I spotted a hawk in a tree nearby. A crow soon joined it. The hawk seemed to object and after some fluttering, the crow settled for a branch further away. After a few minutes they both flew off into the wild, windy blue yonder.

I think it's amazing the hawk tolerated the crow being in the same tree! I don't think hawks like to share. :)

Fabulous, Lew. I remember the hawk and the crow from your previous post, so am thrilled to see them again. You did some fancy camera-work there, to get them coming and going. Super!

Nice bird picture story. It is raining here in VA. No blue skies here today.

Interesting series of photos! I'm surprised the crow wasn't fearful of the hawk! ~karen
