Sky Watch Friday - Birds

As the sky started to clear after the snow on Monday, I went out to take a few shots of the sky and snow. Some noisy starlings were chattering away in a tree on the edge of the field. And I notice this hawk perched nearby looking for an afternoon snack.

After a few minutes the hawk left his perch,

circled overhead, and flew off over the field looking for easier prey (or maybe a quieter place to perch).

Great photos and I like the one of the hawk with his wings outstretched.

These are great photos of the birds, i find that the birds around here are thicker in the early mornings, and then later on they seem to leave. And i still can't capture a great bird photo

Great captures of the hawk! I have them come to my bird feeder from time to time for their own meal. I've only seen them have success one time.

Nice indeed. You really did capture the hawk beautifully. The last two photos are spectacular with the outstretched wing span... I have yet to get pictures of a hawk!

Hope your weekend is going well...
