Late afternoon clearing on October 24 gave way to a beautiful sunset which Marianne spotter and I got my camera.

Header Challenge - Fall colors
October started with a burst of yellow,
while our mailbox plants maintained their colors,
and the mountain showed touches of color.
The pumpkins were bright,
and a few gourds and pumkins added color to our porch.

Our World - Squirrely
The acorns were plentiful this year and the squirrels
have been busy eating and hoarding acorns.
The neighbor's cat takes an interest
while the squirrel seems unconcerned.
I have yet to see a cat catch a squirrel. Our cat stays inside, but takes an interest when a squirrel approaches a window or door.

Sky Watch - Blue and white
The clouds have floated by, sometimes with little puffs,
sometimes hiding the blue
and sometimes dropping us a good bit of water.

Header challenge - Street Performers
The City of Frederick celebrated "The Harvest" along the streets (if not in the street) of the business district this past Saturday. Along the creek between Market and Carroll streets vendors offered their locally grown food for sale and music was performed in the amphitheater.

Maryland crab cakes - always good
The Jugband was playing by the creek when I went by. It was one of 20 musical groups that performed at spots around downtown.

Header Challenge - Forced perspective
A ground level perspective of corn
The hammer from the nail's perspective
I did not quite achieve Craver's idea of forced perspective. My header is more a historical perspective of photography during my lifetime. From left: Polaroid, Argus 35mm, my old Nikon and my cell phone with camera.
