Sky Watch Friday - Fair skies

Here are some shots of the sky over The Great Frederick Fair taken September 22. On this day the color was on the ground, not in the sky. For more shots of the fair, check out these posts: Window Views; My World Tuesday; animals; and harness racing. .

And yes, that bright spot left of center is the sun trying to punch a hole in the clouds.

A light rain was falling as I walked back to the car.

Not my favorite kind of weather, especially for a fair, but what a good backdrop for the colorful tent tops in the first photo! Just beautiful!

Well, I usually prefer blue skies for a visit to the fair, but on the other hand, if you're taking pictures the gray can highlight colorful things -- like tents and refreshment stands and ferris wheels etc.! Looks like a fun day regardless!

Have a great weekend, Lew!

Seems when the fair starts, it is a dreary day. It sems it did not keep you from having a good time.

The colour chows up beautifully against that dreary sky. I hope the fair was successful. I don't see crowds of people.
