The ceiling in the garage was braced to replace a few termite damaged wood in the kitchen wall.
Part of a wall was removed to open up the kitchen for more light from the dining room.
The electricians ran wires for new lightng and outlets. And marked the ceiling where new recessed lighting will go. That is the original single hanging light.

soon you will have a brand new kitchen. once in Singapore, the university apartment was infested with termites. Horrible.
I didn't get a new kitchen, they ripped out the rotten shelves, and sprayed smelly chemicals, before that I had to clear my pantry and my shelves. Not nice!!!! especially when the occupier is a lazy person.
I know it is always a pain during construction, but the changes look like they'll make a much nicer space. - Margy
Lucky, lucky you. I would love to be getting a new kitchen, but I do not think I could stand the disruption. 5 years ago we put on a huge handicap friendly bathroom off my bedroom and everything that could go wrong went wrong. It ended up costing twice as much as planned. If my back ends up forcing me to a wheelchair I will be ready. Good luck with the new room. It will wonderful just like mine when you are finished. genie
I love remodeling jobs, and it looks like you are going to have a splendid kitchen.
This brings to mind what my Daddy and I have been doing for the past couple of weeks. He is remodeling a house that we lived in when I was 3 years old. It came up for sale, and he bought it, and we are working on it slowly but surely. We are having a grand time! Great photos. I look forward to more! :)))
Remodelling isn't easy or cheap, but it makes for interesting photography. Good luck with the result!
