We don't get many letters the old fashion way (pen and paper and a stamp) these days. The postcard was written by Mom on a trip to Maine in 1984 and the letter from Dad had some photos taken at a family reunion in 1996. Mom wrote a fair number of letters, Dad wrote fewer. My mother used to simply hand me the post cards when she got back from a trip. Often there would be nothing on them.
Count yourself lucky.
No..it's not often that we see old fashioned snail mail and letters. Nice..nostalgic image.
