The leaves have been falling around here for several weeks, and I decided to catch them in the act. Here are two shots of leaves before they hit the ground. And one of how many that had fallen (this is after two previous rakings of the yard. The first shots were on the 7-th. On the 15-th the tree was bare.

Ah, yes! Have to admit I'd rather see them falling in your yard than mine, but that's kind of mean, so I'll tell you what terrific shots you got of the falling leaves! Really beautiful!
Now, go get the rake!

Falling leaves. My hubby mowed up quite a few today while I cleaned out flower beds that had leaves. I really don't mind leaf raking in the fall. In the spring is a different story---then they look yucky.
Lew: You are behind us with most of the leaves gone. Nice capture of the falling leaf.
Great post. A few years back I went into the woods when the leaves were really coming down and just listened to the sounds of the wind and leaves hitting the ground, each other etc.
The falling leaves and the contrails in the first shot are fabulous! It happens so fast, doesn't it - the color and then the bare branches?
Falling leaves. We hardly have those in my part of the world, thank goodness. But we also do not have beautiful, warm autumn colors in our backyards :( Great shots of the falling leaves/leaf!
Cool photos. Nice shot! I am loving it. ;D
