This weekend we had lots of Canada geese fly by, sometimes settling in the field for the night. Saturday afernoon two flocks appeared, honking and circling. The flock above flew off to the west while the smaller flock landed in a nearby field. (More photos on Lew's Pics.) Then Sunday with the sun low in the sky, the small flock (about 180) returned to the field behind or house.
Monday brought the large flock of over 300 back to settle in for the night. Note the geese already in the field as more approach. Finally they all settled in for the night.

Oh my gosh! That's a whole lot of birds! So pretty!!!
If you have time, come over my world here. Thanks!
Isn't that a bit early for going north, or alternatively, late for going south? Or maybe the geese behave differently in North America compared to Northern Europe.

Wow, that's a lot of geese. That's got to be something else to see in person.

300 is a lot. Some of those geeses are getting too annoying lately. There is so many.
