Header challenge - Selfies

I went out this afternoon and took some selfies in the late afternoon sun. The van windows made some of these reflected selfies so the camera got included.

Full sun in my face and below the camera in my face.

Header Challenge - Today

My header and images were taken Today (back on Oct 14) from our yard. While I was outside taking the images in this post, a hawk soared under the oak branches in our yard and perched in the neighbor's yard two houses down. The field behind us has turned golden, a few of our flowers are still blooming and the sky was a gorgeous blue with some white clouds.

Sky Watch - Return of blue skies

September had a lot of gray skies. October began with a change to blue, a welcome change!

Header Challenge - What's that?

There are lots of buildings around here with cupolas on the roof. They also have wind vanes, directional arrows and birds or animals adorning the top. This pair adorns the top of the local rescue company. But what is that gray tube between the cupolas?

What's this bug?

What's this? (Delicious harvard beets made by Marianne!)

What's this?
The return of blue sky after a couple of weeks of gray with intermittent rain. (Nothing like the rain our family and friends in South Carolina got.)

Header Challenge - Fall colors

When I choose the topic for this week I was expecting a vast color change from Mother Nature. Our colors now are mostly harvest colors., the fall explosion of color is still to come.

These last four are from last October and we are looking forward to more of the same this year.
