Header Challenge - Pup

The challenge this week was chosen by Craver to be "Pup". My header pup was found relaxing in the shade by Culler Lake on the Fourth of July.

Nearby a mama duck watched over her two offspring.

Two other pups seen by Carroll Creek

and this sad pup peering out the window.

And finally, this trailer to take your pups camping.

Sky Watch - Blimp and clouds

The MetLife blimp was here for a few days as it provided arial TV coverage of the golf tournament in Bethesda, MD

And between storms, we had some blue sky and white clouds.

Header Challenge - What's that?

Fishing Guy chose "What's that?" for the header theme this week. My header is a common kitchen item. Some other "what's that" images follow and the full items are shown later in the post. See the  headers by the challengers using the links in my sidebar.

What's that in Marianne's new food mill?

What's that near Carroll Creek?

What's that with wires hanging down?

What's that floating in the creek?

My header is common kitchen scissors.

Those tomatoes became delicious Marinara sauce.
We had some for dinner and bagged and froze the rest for later!

A statue of an artist by the creek.

The pole is the support for the suspension bridge.

And the little floating bulb will become a striking lily.

Header Challenge - NOW WHY R U TAKING THAT

Kathy choose "NOW WHY R U TAKING THAT" for this week's theme. Marianne asks me that question also. Usually my answer is "I find it interesting". Often, the result is not as interesting as I hoped when I pointed my camera and squeezed the shutter button. My header is one where the subject decided to exit frame right as I took the picture. The result was an almost full frame of grass as the bird escaped stage right.

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed sparkles of light reflected by rain drops on the windshield of our van. Nice but not spectacular.

The next day, I found two small broken blue eggs in the driveway - tragic accident from the windy night or do we have a nest of baby robins in our tree?
I just liked the lines and colors of this scene under the Carroll Creek suspension bridge.

I thought of doing an exposure experiment with the sun lit water, but changed my mind.

Sidewalk to nowhere?

This one is for my grandson (he'll see it on Facebook)
