Sky Watch - Cold skies
We got late December temperatures in late November.
Some days cloudy, a plus 2 inch rainy weekend
others clear and cold.
But December 5 starts the first real winter storm.

Header Challenge - Thank You
Jim joined us for the trip to New York for Christopher's funeral. Back in Maryland, he got Marianne's new computer fully ready before leaving for South Carolina. It was up and running, but missing some applications that she really likes. Her files and links to the internet had not been copied.

Our World - Redone
Marianne has been on the lookout for some new pictures for the living room for some time and saw some she liked at IKEA. So we planned a trip to the Baltimore store. If you have never been to IKEA, it is big, has all kinds of things for the house, and winds you through the entire place from entrance to exit. (There are short cuts, but we usually take the long tour.) As we rounded the corner near the start, Marianne spotted sofas and said "I like that". We have been looking for a new sofa for some time, so stopped to check them. We checked prices, too measurements and followed the arrows, picking up some other things and the pictures. Back home we found sofa would fit nicely and I could fit it in the van for the trip home (IKEA stuff comes in boxed with "some assembly required"). So a second trip retrieved the sofa. The old one was donated, new one assembled and pictures hung. And we are enjoying our new seating and color addition to the walls.

Our world - Too soon gone
Too soon gone! We celebrated his life and mourned his passing with friends and relatives this past weekend. We last saw Chris at his cousin's wedding in April. Rest in peace, Chris!
