Header Challenge - No fear

I recently had several encounters with deer who showed no fear of my presence. These three were walking down the road near the county recycling center when I dropped off some stuff earlier this month. As I snapped a few shots, they seem curious, then turned and walked into the woods. My header was taken a last week, as a pair of deer (second one is out of view to the left) checked out our yard from the field.

Header Challenge - Who done it?

Who done penned our National Anthem?

Francis Scott Key, a native of Frederick County, Maryland and a lawyer wrote the poem during the bombardment of Baltimore during the War of 1812. He was on a mission to secure the release of prisoners being held by the British and was himself held by the British until after the battle. His grave is in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the City of Frederick.

Below are two more "solved" who done it mysteries

Who done crashed into our lamp post?
The wicked witch of the west when frightened
by the ghost hiding in our rhododendron.

Who done make the dust cloud over the field?
The farmer with his soybean harvester.

Header Challenge - Fill flash

Back in August, I saw these water droplets on the lily pads and wanted to make them sparkle. So I turned on the flash. My header is the result. Below is an image that shows the available light on that overcast afternoon.

Here is the center of the header cropped to show the sparkle. (Note on this post no image enhancements were made.)

Here is a real practical use for fill flash,
when  the main subject is in the shadows.

And finally flash used on an late afternoon shot.
