Header Challenge - Something RED

Mac asked us to post a header of something red. My sister had sent us a Christmas gift which sprouted and produced this red flower (along with some white blooms). This bloom had become too heavy for its stem and I cut it and placed it on the window sill in a glass of water. My header was taken in late afternoon with the sun casting a long shadow and bright rays scattered by the glass. I place a black cloth under the flower for the above shot. (Note: this is one of the few times I also posted the same images on Lew's Favorites.)
