Header Challenge - Macro

 
I do not have a true macro lens, but my 55 mm focuses about 6 inches from the subject and cropping yields good close-ups. The item in my header fits the item below to make a common kitchen accessory. Recognize it?

    I don't have a proper macro lens either, so I appreciate how tricky it is to get a good macro shot. Did you save any apple sauce for me, Pal?
