My World Tuesday - Old barns

On Sunday I took a ride towards Pennsylvania to photograph some of the Frederick county historic bridges. This took me through some back roads that I had not previously visited. This northeastern part of the county is rural and beautiful even in winter on an overcast day. Along the way I also took these photos of barns, some well kept, some still working and the last one looking forlorn, but still better than its neighbor across the road.

  10. I enjoyed all the red barns. It is also customary in our part of Norway to use red for barns and white for houses.

  13. I love your photos. It reminds me of some of the rural areas in our state that does have red barns and farms. I will need to look closer at them come spring when the weather is warmer and the roads are safer to drive. Right now it is snowy RI
